The oldest Sicilian distillery of Mastro Mariano
Compared to the high mountain juniper of Northern Italy, on Etna the latter takes on a mineral vein that gives it cleanliness and great freshness thanks to the volcanic soil in which it grows and from which it feeds. Hence the need to create a unique product that represents the many facets of a rich and bewitching territory.
Rispetto al ginepro di alta montagna del Nord Italia, sull’Etna quest’ultimo assume una vena minelerale che gli conferisce pulizia e grande freschezza grazie al suolo vulcanico in cui cresce e da cui si nutre. Da qui l’esigenza di creare un prodotto unico che rappresenti le tante sfaccettature di un territorio ricco ed ammaliante.
Careful is the choice of botanists who mix one by one while maintaining their own personality, intervening on the product in an exclusive way, making it as unique and precious as what brought it into her womb: Etna. Floral and fruity character, aroma, acidity and freshness, structure and roundness, persistence and balance, are all elements found in a large bottle. Volcano is designed to be drunk mostly alone, as a digestive at the end of a meal where it is appreciated for its softness and fragrance.
Accurata è la scelta dei botanici che uno ad uno si mescolano mantenendo la propria personalità, intervenendo sul prodotto in maniera esclusiva, rendondolo unico e prezioso come ciò che lo ha portato in grembo: l’Etna. Carattere floreale e fruttato, aromaticità, acidità e freschezza, struttura e rotondità, persistenza ed equilibrio, sono tutti elementi che si riscontrano in una grande bottiglia. Volcano viene pensato per bersi sopratutto da solo, come digestivo a fine pasto dove si fa apprezzare per morbidezza e fragranza.
The minerality of Etnean juniper is enhanced both on the palate and on the nose. Our botanist of reference is the broom flower which from an organoleptic point of view offers an interesting contrast between sweet and bitter. Wild fennel releases aromatic and herbaceous notes that give vigorous aromas and flavors. The bitter orange gives freshness and acidity for a pleasant drink. The hazelnut embraces all the previous botanicals giving balance, fatness, roundness and structure.
La mineralità del ginepro etneo si esalta sia al palato che al naso. Il nostro botanico di riferimento è il fiore di ginestra che dal punto di vista organolettico regala un interessante contrasto tra dolce e amaro. Il Finocchietto selvatico rilascia delle note aromatiche ed erbacee che regalano profumi e sapori vigorosi. L’arancia amara conferisce freschezza e acidità per una piacevole beva. La nocciola abbraccia tutti i precedenti botanici donando equilibrio, grassezza, rotondità e struttura.

METHOD OF PRODUCTION
Cold Compaund: Following the distillation of cereals, we proceed with the cold infusion, with different timing, of the botanists. When the process is complete, these come next
assembled according to a recipe that is the result of sixty-seven infusion tests.
Handcrafted in small quantities and without additives in Santa Venerina, at the foot of the Etna volcano, in the oldest Sicilian distillery of Mastro Mariano
METODO DI PRODUZIONE
A seguito della distillazione di cereali procediamo con l’infusione a freddo, con tempistiche differenti, dei botanici. Al termine del processo, questi vengono successivamente
mescolati nel rispetto di una ricetta frutto di sessantasette prove d’infusione.
Prodotto artigianalmente in piccole quantità e senza additivi a Santa Venerina, ai piedi del vulcano Etna, nella più antica distilleria siciliana di Mastro Mariano.
