The Piano Battaglia chairlift is back in business and inaugurates the summer season. The ski resort of the Madonie is also usable in summer, reopening the chairlift that offers the opportunity to experience the mountains even in the hottest months.
It can be an excellent starting point for walks and hikes in the woods, the beginning of a trip for those who prefer the mountain to the sea, but above all for those who want to enjoy a few days of refreshment from the sultry city temperature
La seggiovia di Piano Battaglia torna in attività e inaugura la stagione estiva. La località sciistica delle Madonie è fruibile anche in estate, riapre la seggiovia che offre la possibilità di vivere la montagna anche nei mesi più caldi.
Può essere un ottimo punto di partenza per passeggiate ed escursioni tra i boschi, l’inizio di una gita per chi al mare preferisce la montagna, ma soprattutto per chi vuole godersi qualche giorno di refrigerio dalle afose temperature cittadine.
DA PALERMO
Imboccare la A19 (Palermo-Catania) e giunti all’altezza dell”agglomerato industriale di Termini Imerese, svoltare per Catania. Piano Battaglia è raggiungibile da tre comodi svincoli: 1) Buonfornello, da dove percorrendo la SS113 si raggiunge Campofelice di Roccella, e da lì Collesano, Piano Zucchi e Piano Battaglia. 2) Scillato, da cui si prosegue per Polizzi Generosa, e Piano Battaglia. 3) Tre Monzelli, da cui percorrendo la SS120 in direzione Castellana Sicula, si raggiunge Petralia Sottana, e da lì Piano Battaglia.
DA CATANIA
Imboccare la A19 (Catania-Palermo) ed uscire al nuovo svincolo di “Irosa” da cui si prosegue verso Petralia Sottana e poi in direzione Piano Battaglia (S.P. 54).
FROM PALERMO
Take the A19 (Palermo-Catania) and get to the “industrial agglomeration of Termini Imerese, turn to Catania. Piano Battaglia can be reached from three convenient junctions: 1) Buonfornello, from where driving along the SS113 you reach Campofelice di Roccella, and from there Collesano, Piano Zucchi and Piano Battaglia. 2) Scillato, from which we continue to Polizzi Generosa, and Piano Battaglia. 3) Tre Monzelli, from which along the SS120 towards Castellana Sicula, you reach Petralia Sottana, and from there Piano Battaglia.
FROM CATANIA
Take the A19 (Catania-Palermo) and exit at the new “Irosa” junction from which you continue towards Petralia Sottana and then towards Piano Battaglia (S.P. 54).
