Liberty a Catania
All’inizio del Novecento Catania, città colta ed industriosa, aveva subito recepito il vento di innovazione estetica dettato dall’eleganza dell’Art Nouveau e dalle linee dolci e sinuose del Liberty. Linee curve, ornamenti vegetali con innesti di raffinata eleganza, elementi floreali si riscontrano in ville, palazzi signorili, in città e in periferia.
Un Liberty esistente, un Liberty sparito e un Liberty che rinasce dalle proprie ceneri, un Liberty che è stato e sarà sempre testimonianza di una Città che rimarrà sempre al passo con i tempi.
