AUDAX, l’auto made in Sicily (Italy)
The APIS car, produced in Palermo at the beginning of the twentieth century by the mechanical plant of Eugenio Oliveri, senator of the Kingdom and at the time already mayor of the city.
The APIS had a short life, producing in all a dozen examples of cars; nor did the other Palermo car factory, Vincenzo Pellerito’s AUDAX, have better success.
The failure of the two brands was certainly favored by the craftsmanship of the models and by the preference given by the wealthy Palermo people of the time to much more prestigious national and foreign models.
